Aberdeen Drilling School Ltd, part of the RelyOn Nutec group and globally recognised for its advanced drilling, well engineering and well control training, has completed the strategic acquisition of Norwegian simulation technology company Oiltec Solutions AS, from the HITEC Vision’s portfolio company Teresoft AS.
Oiltec Solutions has been active in the development of advanced simulation for drilling and crane operations since its inception in 1998, to supply cyber-based drilling simulation and associated training to the oil and gas industry. Since building one of the most advanced simulators on spec for Equinor, the team at Oiltec Solutions has been widely recognised within their domain for ultimately creating a safer work day and offshore industry.
Oiltec Solutions will become the central simulation technology and development team at Aberdeen Drilling School, creating an inhouse platform technology that will be rolled out through their global training centres. The combination of these two market leading groups will allow our global client base unrivalled access to some of the most advanced simulator-based training, wherever their operations and fleets are based.
