The aim of this 3-day course is to develop an awareness of the importance of well integrity over the life cycle of the well, but with a focus on well integrity for Well Intervention teams. The course is client-specific and aims to fully incorporate the client’s procedures and guidelines, well designs and well data into the presentations and the case studies.
This course is designed for well engineers, completions engineers, production operators and intervention engineers with a responsibility for the integrity of a well during the operational phase, change-of-use phase, and the various handover phases of the well life cycle.
There are no formal pre-requisites for this type of training; however, candidate suitability, previous experience and assumed base knowledge will be discussed and agreed with the client in the early stages of course development.
The course is delivered over 3 days through lectures, case studies and group discussions. It is designed to be highly interactive and involve the client in the delivery. The guidelines will be based on the client’s guidelines and on international well integrity standards. A number of the case studies will focus on the client’s well designs and specific well integrity issues, as well as those of other international operators.
Successful completion of the course will result in an Aberdeen Drilling School certificate which is valid for 2 years.
