As Plug & Abandonment (P&A) becomes an increasingly critical component of an industry with a growing inventory of ageing wells, our range of P&A programmes cover the key principles, processes and environmental considerations associated with well abandonment. Participants are provided with an introduction to methodologies, practicalities and risks associated with well abandonment.
The short introductory courses have been designed for non-technical personnel with an interest in abandonment processes such as those working in HR & training, finance, supply chain, and marketing departments, and those indirectly involved in drilling, production, workover, facilities management and QHSE. We also offer a 4-day P&A Workshop designed for groups of engineers and project planners.
These courses are typically classroom-based, but can also be delivered remotely as virtual instructor-led training. The 2-day Essentials of Plug & Abandonment course is available as a public course in Aberdeen, UK. The suite of P&A programmes can be customised to your needs for groups of 4 or more people and can be delivered at any of our global centres or an alternative location of your choosing.
