They are also a popular choice for office-based staff seeking to engage in effective, value-adding conversation with their colleagues. Ideal for non-technical personnel such as those from finance, HR, supply chain, marketing and technical personnel from non-drilling disciplines such as production operations, facilities management and QHSE. 📖Monday – Introduction to Drilling
This 1-day course aims to provide non-drilling personnel with a comprehensive overview of the terminology and vocabulary of the drilling process. Participants will be provided with our highly recommended Glossary of Oilfield Terms to take away with them. .
📖Tuesday-Thursday- Essentials of Drilling Technology & Equipment
This 3-day course is highly interactive and engaging and forms a key component of continuous professional development for any employee who requires an understanding of the drilling process and equipment. The aim of the course is to develop awareness of the technology behind the drilling process and function. Delivered through interactive lectures supported by videos, animations, visual aids, and group discussions, we also utilise our in-house, state-of-the-art, cyber-based drilling simulators to enable course participants to put their new-found knowledge of drilling operations into practice!
📖Friday – Introduction to Plug and Abandonment
This 1-day course aims to provide participants with an introduction to the principles, methodologies, practicalities and risks associated with well abandonment. As P&A becomes an increasingly critical component of an industry with a growing inventory of ageing wells, this course introduces the key principles, processes and environmental considerations associated with well abandonment.
